Replica Royal Carriage Sr1

Queen Mother Anna Paulowna's salon carriage. Anna Paulowna was the queen of the Netherlands from 1840 to 1849. In 1864, the Dutch Iron Railway Company (HSM) built a salon carriage with which Anna Paulowna could travel between Soestdijk and The Hague. A replica was built especially for the Royal Class exhibition with the support of the BankGiro Lottery.

Only the toilet and sink of the original carriage were preserved. Using surviving parts of the original construction drawings, we have been able to create a historically faithful replica.
