In april the Prison Museum in Veenhuizen opened its new permanent presentation on its history. In this modern and interactive museum you will get acquainted with the special history of Veenhuizen. A story about discipline, orphans and paupers, civil servants and detainees.
For the exhibition Swim, Fish, Swim! in the Natural History Museum Rotterdam Kloosterboer has made the interactive table and exhibition walls. The exhibition lasts from 17 March to 28 October 2018.
At the construction of the North/South line, archaeologists collected over 700.000 items. 10.000 selected items are displayed in the large showcase at the escalators of the new Rokin station. This way people on the escalator will travel through the past of Amsterdam. The glass showcases are engineered and build by Kloosterboer.
The new exhibition The Network gives a new perspective on the resistance activities that took place around the Battle of Arnhem. The resistance stories are told in the middle of lively diorama scenes. Various film additions bring the scenes even more to life.
From Monday 26 February to Sunday 11 March 2018 an in-depth scientific examination of the Girl with a Pearl Earring (c. 1665) by Johannes Vermeer will take place: ‘The Girl in the Spotlight’. The museum’s most famous painting was last examined in 1994, during a conservation treatment.
