In the office building of the Central Bureau of Statistics a new permanent setup can be visited for employees and customers where they can discuss, relax and delve into Statistics Netherlands. The permanent exhibition “Onderweg in Nederland” shows, on the one hand, what Cental Bureau of Statistics in the Netherlands does, what it stands for and how statistics have developed over time. In addition, the setup tells the story of mobility in the Netherlands. Themes are discussed such as how traffic slowly but surely freezes, the quality of life and accessibility of cities, etc.

At the construction of the North/South line, archaeologists collected over 700.000 items. 10.000 selected items are displayed in the large showcase at the escalators of the new Rokin station. This way people on the escalator will travel through the past of Amsterdam. The glass showcases are engineered and build by Kloosterboer.
