100 years of Schiphol Amsterdam Museum

On September 19, 1916, a small plane landed for the first time on a piece of farmland in the Haarlemmermeer. Not far from Amsterdam, five meters below sea level. There was no runway yet. Only four wooden sheds, nothing else. This exhibition is about a hundred years of Schiphol: from muddy meadow to high-tech airport. And about the future. Where is Schiphol going? Are there limits to growth?

Join the control tower game and guide planes safely to the runways. Step into the shoes of the military police at a real passport counter. And leave your wish for the future. Should Schiphol move to the North Sea? In fifty years we will be flying in unmanned aircraft.
