In the new Evolution Garden of the Botanical Gardens in Utrecht, visitors embark on a fascinating time journey spanning 500 million years, exploring the intriguing evolution of plants. The Evolution Garden serves as the scientific heart of the Botanical Gardens at Utrecht University and narrates the story of the evolutionary tree of the plant kingdom, tracing back hundreds of millions of years.

The project "Evolution in Motion" goes through various phases. All paths and infrastructure have been established, and the educational signage and public information are also complete. In the next phase, developed by Studio Tjep, moving artistic installations will be produced.

The official opening for the general public is scheduled for 2025.
