Geert Groote (1340 – 1384), penitent preacher and theologian, is known for the brothers of the common life and modern devotion. In a new building on the foundations of an old chapel, the spiritual story of Deventers' most famous resident is told.

Designer agency Tinker Imagineers has found contemporary parallels in historical themes from Groote's life. In this way, his fight against ecclesiastical greed finds a counterpart in the role of recent profiteers during the credit crisis. All these stories are designed in colorful collages where past and present meet.
