Hello Rembrandt!

Hello Rembrandt! is an active exhibition for adults with children and can now be visited in the Rembrandt House. What makes Rembrandt's art so special? What was paint made of in the seventeenth century? Get to know Rembrandt's masterpieces by watching and doing together.

The youngest explorers from 3 to 6 years old can play with the figures of The Night Watch, dress up as Rembrandt and mix different colors with the help of a projector. Children aged 7 to 12 get to work with Rembrandt's lighting, see how many layers a painting was made of or dive into a pigment cabinet with all the pigments that Rembrandt used to make his paint.

With interactive elements such as digital screens and a photo booth with Rembrandtish lighting, you will discover how Rembrandt worked. In addition to the interior of the exhibition, Kloosterboer was also responsible for the interactives.

Hello Rembrandt! was initiated and curated by the Mauritshuis, The Hague and was on display there in the summer of 2019.
