Gezien en Ongezien – National Militair Museum
The Marechaussee Museum in Buren is permanently closed. However, the story of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee lives on at the National Military Museum in Soesterberg with the new exhibition. ‘Gezien en Ongezien’.
This exhibition highlights both the visible and hidden duties of the Marechaussee. Think of passport controls at airports and the security of the Royal Family, but also less visible operations, such as preventing civil disturbances.
The most significant events in the history of the Marechaussee are displayed on a large timeline. Photos and objects bring the story to life, guiding visitors through the history and development of the Marechaussee.
The Seen and Unseen presentation is part of the permanent exhibition and is on display in the Arsenaal.
The exhibition construction was carried out by Kloosterboer.
