Our Country – Decolonization, generations, stories

On February 8, 2022, the semi-permanent exhibition - OUR LAND - Decolonization, generations, stories opened in Museum Sophiahof.

The arrangement shows how the history of the Dutch East Indies influences Dutch culture to this day. Kloosterboer is responsible for the construction of the interior and the AV. Including projections on full canvases that look like memories

Based on eight family stories, this exhibition outlines the complex and often painful colonial history and the effects of the ongoing process of decolonization on our society.
